A new service is now available for UTORDial. This provides 56Kbps speeds in addition to the current 33.6 and 14.4 Kbps. speeds. This new speed will consume tokens at two and half the hourly rate of the lower speeds. The reason for this increase in rate is because the digital access needed to provision 56Kbps is much more expensive than regular analogue dialin lines.

The lead number is 217-0120. Note that, when using the 56Kbps access, it may be that the modems will only work at a lower rate, since they will always negotiate what speed is possible, depending on line quality. Thus, if your modem mostly works at a lower rate, it will be more cost effective to use the regular 33Kbps service.
