Changes between narf versions
We attempt to change narf only when there's something worth it.
Minor version incremenets (0.92 to 0.93) only happen when there's
bug fixes or substantial improvements.
Subminor version increments (0.93 to 0.93.01)
denote more minor and less important changes.
- narf 0.93 to 0.93.01.
-
Big win: narf will only copy so much of the article body
into the __BODY__
header hash element if it's safe to do so. This can drastically reduce narf's
memory growth.
All the configuration variables which are useful or sensible to
change at runtime are now globals, so they can be changed from
$CONFFILE.
Narf now properly propagates input batch grades through to output
batches.
Updated calculation of the Path: tail to catch Netzilla better.
Logging body signatures is now optional.
- narf 0.92 to 0.93
- Many cleanups to make the interface between narf and the filter
better and cleaner.
Our filter changes often enough that it's not sensible to track
changes. You can generally assume that we've updated it to work
with any big win improvement in narf. Any given filter release
has a minimum version of narf that it wants; if you fetch a new
filter version and it wants a newer narf version, update.
