CNS Launches Windows & UNIX Alerts Broadcast Lists
 
  Computing & Networking Services has launched two new broadcast lists in order to distribute alerts to systems and network administration throughout the University. This UNIX Alerts list is dedicated to UNIX Operating Systems. Advisories, security alerts, bulletins, and information about patches to know vulnerabilities will be mailed to subscribers of the list. This Windows Alerts list is dedicated to Windows Operating Systems. Virus alerts, windows operating systems vulnerabilities, and news about patches to known vulnerabilities will be mailed to subscibers by Computing & Networking Services.

Computer & Network Operations
 
  Maher Roz joined the External Network Facilities Management group in September by accepting the position of Intermediate Network Specialist reporting to Sam Mokbel.

Marcos Bedinelli joined the External Network Facilities Management group in October. He accepted the position of Intermediate Network Specialist reporting to Sam Mokbel.

 
UNIX Support Group
 
  Vladimir Patoka joined the UNIX Support Group earlier this year. Vladimir reports to Tom Molnar.

Evgueni Martynov accepted the position of Security Specialist in March. Evgueni reports to Tom Molnar.

 
Workgroup Technology Support Group
 
  After many years of service, Terry Sanderson has left the University for better climes. Terry has moved to Silicone Valley. David Sutherland has taken over from Terry.

Bradley Armstrong has accepted the position of Technical Support Analyst effective November. Bradley reports to David Sutherland in the Workgroup Technology Support group.

Gordon Russell accepted the position of Senior Network Administrator effective mid-June. Gordon reports to David Sutherland.
