<p>I'm just starting in Python myself; I'll do my best to avoid trapping myself into Python 2, but at the same time, I'm not exactly going to cry rivers if my code happens to work under 2 and not 3. I've already been there done that with Perl, having to refactor code for new 5.x releases without gaining anything from the new features.</p>
<p>That said, I expect becoming obscure will happen regardless of the success-or-failure of Python 3.</p>
