Initially it failed. The service in question got the peer IP, mainly for logging purposes but it was getting an IPv6 socket. It was necessary to add code to unwrap the IPv4 address from the IPv6 one. I don't know for sure whether systemd was the cause of this: I stopped investigating once it was working.</p>
