<p>Or maybe not. I feel similar thing, and it doesn't come from not wanting to
fail. It's more about pride of one's craftsmanship: I don't like current state
of my work enough to be shared, and I know how much effort I need to put in
more to be satisfied about it (i.e., <em>a whole lot</em>).</p>
<p>I have at least seven (or more than dozen, depending on how to count) opened
projects that are production-level stable and I use them in my work, and they
even have their pages on my homepage, but I wouldn't consider their state
being good enough to be included in Debian, for instance.</p>

<p>The way to change that is to realise that unless you fail from time to time, you're not pushing yourself. And if you're not pushing yourself you're not going to get better - at least not as fast as you'd like.</p>
